Cross-device prototype

Nearby Handoff

A local-first prototype for moving clipboard content, files, and launch intents between nearby devices, with trusted pairing and transport fallbacks across laptops, phones, watches, and TV surfaces.

What The Prototype Covers

  • Trusted-device pairing and nearby discovery for a personal device mesh.
  • Swipe-to-send flows for clipboard content, files, and launch intents.
  • Capability-aware behavior across phones, laptops, watches, and TV endpoints.
  • A shared protocol, browser console, Cloudflare control plane, and native Windows companion app.
Current build

Built for real devices first.

The current slice is intentionally personal-account-first: pair trusted devices once, move content locally whenever possible, and adapt the experience by platform instead of pretending every surface can behave the same way.

What Is Running In The Prototype

The goal is to prove the handoff model with real software on real devices before widening the matrix for public release.

Windows companion app with live nearby presence and LAN peer discovery.

Browser prototype console for pairing, transfer planning, and demo flows.

Platform starter adapters for Apple, Android, Roku, Sony TV, and watch-class devices.
